Bio
- John Merriman is an award winning filmmaker and actor.He wrote and directed his first feature MY NAME IS BUTTONS with Courtney Davis. He has starred in numerous short films including PERILS IN NUDE MODELING which won the top prize at HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. Next, he portrayed Ricky Marichino in the darkly comic GRETCHEN which won the narrative feature prize at the Los Angeles Film Festival and played on the Sundance Channel.Recently, he starred in the New York Times Critics Pick YOU HURT MY FEELINGS (dir. Steve Collins) and played the leads in Mark Potts and Cole Selix's CINEMA SIX and Don Swaynos' PICTURES OF SUPERHEROES. Additionally, he and Kerri Lendo wrote, directed, and acted in the short films MODERN MAN and SLEEP STUDY which won the Audience Award at the 2010 Austin Film Festival.
